We're proud and excited to announce the launch of this up-tower crane, GenHook™ 60622. Working in the US state of Colorado, this handsome machine performed its first gearbox lift today after being delivered from our Netherlands-based supplier, KenzFigee. This GenHook™ crane is rated at a lifting capacity of 30MT, and is designed to safely and swiftly exchange major components including gearboxes, generators, blades, and pitch bearings. After completion of this inaugural project, this crane will be deployed across North America, and will soon be working at a wind farm near you. First launched in 2019, LiftWerx now operates six GenHook™ cranes, and the company currently has four more GenHook™ in production, all of which will be deployed in 2024 and 2025. Here’s a beautiful shot of another safe rotor lift that our team just completed in sunny Colorado.  With a fresh new main bearing, this turbine is now back online, happily spinning and producing power for our customer.  Having now wrapped up a series of ten successful main bearing exchanges at this wind farm, this team is off to its next job in the midwest USA.  Thanks for an impressive campaign, guys!

This LiftWerx team safely performed this blade exchange over the weekend, at a wind farm in the US Northwest. This cost-effective method of exchanging blades avoids having to lower the entire rotor, and it also allows the repair to be completed with minimal equipment and a very small ground footprint. Great job, guys!

You'll have to look closely, but these blades are being exchanged on a GE 2.5MW wind turbine using two cranes in tandem: a Liebherr LTM1450 crane in combination with one of LiftWerx's seven GenHook™ cranes. These blades measure 62 meters long, and at a weight of only 14 metric tonnes, they are as light as a feather when one considers their size. In this configuration, roughly 45% of the weight is lifted by the Liebherr crane, and the majority of the weight is lifted by the tiny GenHook™ crane, which is more than 15 times smaller. Thanks to a great team who are getting things done! We are proud of you!

This week, the LiftWerx Flag of Adventure travelled to the summit of Mount Bierstadt in Colorado, USA! Proudly bearing the Flag is LiftWerx's Tony Morelli (at left), with his sons Weber and Will. Mount Bierstadt is located in the Rocky Mountains, around 70 kilometres (~44 miles) from downtown Denver. Located in the Front Range at the edge of the Great Plains, the boulder-covered summit measures over 14,000 feet (~4,300m) above sea level. The mountain was named in honor of Albert Bierstadt, an American landscape painter who made the first recorded summit of the mountain in 1863. At LiftWerx, we are fortunate to have a staff who have a zest for life and adventure. Thanks again to Tony, Will, and Weber for raising the Flag!
