✨The first UNICEF #Gender in #Emergencies Surge simulation training✨ ⚡ From September 9-13, Ladysmith researchers Julia Zulver and Lucía Mesa Velez were in #Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪 facilitating the first #training on Gender in Emergencies for UNICEF Staff and Partners Deployed on Surge Assignment. 🌍 The cohort included 21 participants from all over the world: from #Afghanistan to #Mali, from #PapuaNewGuinea to #Colombia. Over the course of a week, we focused on creating and running simulation scenarios for participants to learn how to apply important practical learnings in real life settings ✏. Working together with facilitators @Maria Margherita Maglietti @David Andrés Viñas and Aslanyan Narine we focused on reviewing and practicing the skills that participants will need to employ when deployed in emergency responses worldwide 🚨. We also took ample time to reflect and learn from each other’s experiences. And most importantly - we had a lot of fun along the way! 😎🥳💫 Thank you to Omar J.
