Our friends at TruckRight have shared a little about the success we've had with their comprehensive and easy-to-use software. It's the foundation of our recruiting tech stack. From posting jobs online to reviewing applicants and maintaining driver compliance it's an invaluable tool for our recruiting and safety departments.

Four times a year our safety leaders gather to review our safety and training standards and stats. Yesterday, they spent the day sharing best practices, reviewing updated rules and regulations and considering new opportunities for driver coaching. Our safety professionals are the foundation of every successfully delivered load. They're a dedicated bunch who are eager to learn and share to keep our drivers, customer freight and the motoring public as safe as possible.

Today, we celebrate the unity and strength that define our great nation. We're grateful for the communities we serve and the connections we build every day across Canada. Wishing everyone a fun and safe long weekend!

We had a wonderful time with our transportation peers at yesterday's Toronto Transportation Club Ladies' Lunch. It's one of only a few annual events that focus on the contributions of women in the freight business. Our group enjoyed networking with other smart and accomplished women of trucking and the inspiring story of keynote speaker Dianna M. Fioravanti-Ashikwe President, Kuehne Nagel Canada.

On June 8, seven drivers from KTG carriers competed at the Central Ontario Regional Truck Driving Competition at the Kitchener Aud. Kriska sent drivers Richard Maciejewski, Kevin Tetreault and Sean Walsh. Mill Creek's team included Ali-Raza Choudry, Michael Martin, and Javad Mohaddes. Srjdan "Serge" Bukvic represented TransPro. They navigated through the tricky obstacle course, wrote a 50-question test, and discovered five defects in an 8-minute pre-trip inspection. At the end of the day, at the awards banquet, 3 drivers placed in the Tandem-tandem category. Mill Creek's Javad placed fourth, TransPro's Serge achieved third and Sean from Kriska won second place! Kevin from Kriska placed fourth in the B-train group. All four will compete in the Ontario Provincial Truck Driving Championships in September. We had fun packing nutritious snack bags at the Food Banks Canada | Banques alimentaires Canada After the Bell Food Packing Event. Four volunteers from KTG companies joined their transportation peers coordinated by Trucks For Change Network to help reduce hunger across Canada. Each bag holds 16 items, including tuna salad, milk, crackers, fruit snacks, oatmeal, and more. The team built 840 bags that will be added to the goal of 200,000 to be distributed at food banks nationwide to fill the gap when school food programs pause during the summer. The team at KTG's TransPro Freight Systems had a visit today from the Leader of the Official Opposition, Pierre Poilievre, and former Milton MPP Parm Gill, MBA.
