Young people can connect with KHP from every corner of the country via our professional counselling service, our website of 300 mental health resources, our text-based crisis support, our Peer-to-Peer support forums and more, in addition to accessing our youth programs offered within communities across Canada. We offer support without obstacles and help with any hardship. Because no challenge is too big, and no feeling is too small. With our unique experience in connecting directly with youth, we have the responsibility to play a major role in assisting policy makers in their search for insights and answers about youth mental health and well-being. We hope to deepen our influence as a leading advocate of radical landscape change for youth mental health. Informed by real-time data and insights, and fuelled by our ever-growing community of supporters, KHP will not waver in our commitment to build and transform access to more equitable mental health services from coast to coast to coast. KHP is a registered Canadian charity, and we gratefully rely on the generosity of donors, educators, volunteers, partners, governments and more to power our programs and services. Our generous donors help to ensure that someone is always there to help give young people’s feelings a place to go. Kids Help Phone is about to make history. Again! In 1989, we were the first to convert data and technology into unparalleled e-mental health support. Tonight, we take the stage at Elevate Festival to reveal our next level game-changer to Canada and the world: The KHP Innovation and Applied Research Accelerator for Youth Mental Health (acceleratorKHP). Why? Because the #mentalhealth crisis in this country is growing. Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among youth in Canada. And kids and technology are changing faster than ever. We’re asking the brightest minds in tech, entrepreneurs, researchers, young people and more to use disruptive technologies, AI, ML, data and research to co-create unprecedented well-being innovations for youth across Canada, empowering them to thrive in their worlds. acceleratorKHP is the catalyst for change, and we need YOU to finish the equation! To join the movement and help transform Canada’s e-mental health landscape for generations, visit https://acceleratorkhp.ca. #Innovation #acceleratorKHP #FeelOutLoud #Youth #ElevateFest2024

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we reflect on Canada’s tragic history with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, including the legacy of residential schools. Wearing orange shirts today symbolizes our commitment to learning and engaging in reconciliation. Colonization is an ongoing issue, evident in inequitable access to services and underrepresentation of Indigenous communities. Let’s unlearn, reflect, and take action together. #TruthAndReconciliation #OrangeShirtDay

🚀 At this year’s eMHIC conference in Ottawa, our CEO Katherine (Kathy) Hay ICD.D shared how Kids Help Phone has been innovating - for 35 years - to advance youth mental health for all young people in Canada. We’ve grown services from 1.9M interactions in 2019 to over 20M since 2020. That’s innovation at scale, and it’s why we call ourselves a 35-year-old start-up! 💡 By using AI and machine learning for good, we’re building personalized, scalable solutions to support youth and their mental health. We're enabling young people to feel out loud in every corner of Canada — and we’re just getting started! 🌎💙 #MentalHealth #eMHIC2024 #Innovation #Youth #Leadership

Kids Help Phone’s National Youth Council made us incredibly proud at this week’s eMHIC conference in Ottawa! 🌟 Their powerful voices – and their willingness to feel out loud – added a critical perspective on the needs and experiences of young people, contributing to important conversations on mental health innovation. We’re grateful to everyone who supported their journey to the stage, and we look forward to continuing to work together to support youth and their mental health. 💚 Lydia Sequeira, PhD Alisa Simon Camiley L. It’s #backtoschool season for a lot of youth across #Canada. Here are some stress reductions tips to help get back into routine as a new semester starts. Thanks to Desjardins for powering our back-to-school season and matching gifts up to $50,000 in September 🙌

Thank you to The Hunter Family Foundation for a game-changing investment to help transform e-mental health services in Alberta and across Canada. This gift will help drive the launch of Kids Help Phone’s Alberta Youth Mental Health Services Mapping Project — a three-year endeavour aimed at identifying and addressing resource gaps so young people can have more equitable access to support.
