🧠 Last fall, one of JED’s project teams focused on testing an employee value proposition strategy for Retail.co! 📊 The team conducted background research on the company, launched a survey to over 500 students, and held focus groups to better understand the impact that this implementation would have. After analyzing the collected data, the findings were presented to Retail.co’s team, providing recommendations on next steps. 👏 JED projects aren’t limited to just work! Teams are provided with a budget to bond together - Retail.co’s team had a project dinner and went to laser tag! 🧠 Recently, JED For The Community, JED’s environmental and social impact committee, hosted the Create4Good innovation challenge! 🎮 Create4Good brought together 7 teams and 13 NGO partners over the span of three days, to participate in workshops, networking, and a competition focused on the development of an offline video game concept. 👩🏫 This year, led by Kai Hollett and Paige Evans and chaired by Radia El Amrani, JED FTC has been focused on minimizing gender inequality in education by partnering with the Montreal-based foundation 60 million girls. Using the Create4Good challenge as a launchpad for innovative game prototypes, the final climate education-based game will be available to 700,000 students using 60 million girls’ mobile learning labs and RACHEL devices. 📸 Photo credits: Josiane Farand (L’Art de Capter)

📣 Registration is officially open for JED’s inaugural social innovation challenge, Create4Good! 🗓️ Create4Good will take place from March 22nd to 24th. We encourage ALL McGill students regardless of academic background looking to make a positive impact to apply on our website at www.jed-consulting.com. ✍️Students can apply as a team or an individual. Teams must possess all three strength areas; since each person can only indicate one strength, there must be three team members. Applicants who register as an individual will be put in a team by the event organisers if successful.

📣 JED is excited to introduce our first ever social innovation challenge, Create4Good! 👩💼 Working in collaboration with JED For the Community’s inaugural Impact Partner, 60 million girls/60 millions de filles , Create4Good will be a launchpad for student-made solutions to make a global impact on women and girl’s education. Participants will compete in teams to create the best concept for a self-directed climate action game for 700,000 students in the Global South. 🗓️ Create4Good will take place on March 22-24. Registration opens on February 17 and we encourage all McGill students looking to use their skills to make a positive impact to apply!

👩💼 Last week, JED Consulting hosted the inaugural Women in Consulting conference at the McGill Faculty Club, bringing together 100 participants and 11 firms! 💪 Chaired by Simone Bellengier, with support from the WIC Coords, Emma Gormley, Marie Parent, Eileen Hu, Simon Lavergne-Roberge, Alexis Bredel, Joshua Ptack and the rest of the WIC Committee, the conference was able to host 4 workshops, 4 panels, and a group case crack. Participants had the opportunity to network with both firm representatives and each other, creating a strong support system while learning more about the consulting industry! 🤝 We would like to thank our partner firms, Accuracy, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Capital One, EY, Huron, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, Monitor Deloitte, Richter, and Roland Berger for their participation and support in the conference. We look forward to future editions of the event!
