Womentum is an IFC employee network providing opportunities to meet and interact with other likeminded women who are at various stages in their career. I was very happy to present at the Intact & Brokerlink Womentum West "Workshop Wednesdays." 🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🌈 As we begin the month of June, I am proud to recognize and honour the 2SLGBTQI community. #Pride is a time to embrace and celebrate being our authentic selves. As an ally, I always look for ways to learn and grow. This month also serves as an important reminder of the ongoing journey of education and understanding. I feel proud to work for an organization that's dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace, and more importantly, creating opportunities for others to get involved and have a voice. I have been part of a small (but mighty) project team for 2 years now called the DEI Project Team. Our goal, simply put, is to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive hiring process across Intact. As a team, we have made significant strides, but what we have learned along the way is that, change is constant and change does not happen over night; it requires people coming together, voicing their opinions in an environment where that's encouraged. As an ally, this month is also an important reminder for myself that it's okay to ask questions and admit I don't know something. Remembering, progress is about learning and keeping an open mind as this is an ongoing journey. #PrideAtIntact #PrideMonth
