🌍 This week, Indigo is proud to launch its annual impact report, which showcases its ongoing commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and community connection. As part of our net-zero journey, in 2023, we reduced emissions in our facilities by 35% compared to 2019 while strengthening efforts to reduce our operational impacts across the business. At the heart of these achievements are our dedicated teams, who create an inclusive and welcoming environment, scoring above the industry average in employee inclusivity and belonging. We’re also proud to have increased BIPOC representation in our featured book selection, sharing diverse voices with our readers. Our Read for the Planet initiative reached over 1,500 students nationwide, fostering environmental literacy and inspiring future generations. While we’re proud of these milestones, we know more work must be done. We’re committed to deepening our efforts to support our people, protect the planet, and strengthen our community partnerships. Here’s to building a brighter future together.

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We honour and remember the children, families, and communities impacted by residential schools. The intergenerational effects of the historical and ongoing treatment of Indigenous peoples across Canada are profound, yet they also speak to the resilience, strength, and beauty of Indigenous communities. Last year, we partnered with artist Jordan Stranger to create a piece that symbolizes the deep relationship between Indigenous peoples and the tradition of storytelling.
