Updates

  • We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new driver licensing office in West Kelowna! 🎉 Jason McDaniel (he/him), our Vice President of Operations, attended the West Kelowna City Hall grand opening and shared some exciting details about this expansion. Starting Monday, July 15th at 8:30 a.m., you can visit us on the second floor of the new City Hall building to renew your driver’s licence and I.D., take your knowledge test, and complete Class 4, 5, and 7 road tests. This new location will increase our service capacity by 43,000 annually, easing demand at our Kelowna office. This follows the recent opening of a new office and road test facility in Surrey, part of our strategy to reduce wait times for British Columbians.  Appointments can be booked now for a day and time that suits you. Our team is excited to start serving the residents of West Kelowna and the surrounding area on July 15th. We can’t wait to meet you! #ICBC #WestKelowna #DriverLicensing #CustomerService #CommunityExpansion

  • We're celebrating Pride Month 🌈     We're committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone is respected, supported and included.     To support these ongoing efforts and celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA community, our 2SLGBTQIA employee resource group will be marching alongside our staff and customers at both the Kelowna Pride March and Vancouver Pride Parade this year. We hope to see you there.    Our 2SLGBTQIA employee resource group (ERG) aids in ensuring all employees and customers who self-identify as members of the community are safe and are represented at all levels of the organization. The ERG’s goal is to make ICBC a safe and inclusive environment in which employees and customers feel comfortable expressing their gender identities and sexual orientations.     Corporately we're committed to our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Action Plan, which is a five-year plan which aims to advance an inclusive and equitable culture by:      • Building equity, diversity and inclusion into our policies, processes and products. We know that customers benefit when diversity, equity and inclusion are at the foundation of all that we do.      • Developing a talented, diverse, engaged and representative workforce. Diverse and engaged teams are more innovative and are better problem solvers.      • Creating meaningful and sustainable change for all people in British Columbia.
