📸 Snapshots from the 2024 IMPRESS Research Day 📸 IMPRESS held its annual Research Day on July 30, 2024, where 19 students showcased their research across various disciplines at McGill University, developed through their experience with IMPRESS this summer. 📊 The Indigenous Mentorship and Paid Research Experience for Summer Students (IMPRESS), run by Branches, McGill's Community Outreach Program, empowers Indigenous youth to overcome barriers and thrive academically, all while fostering Indigenous perspectives and knowledge in the research community. Each summer, IMPRESS pairs undergraduate Indigenous students from across the country with McGill professors and graduate students. This partnership offers hands-on, paid research experience, as well as professional skill-building and Indigenous-focused community engagement. HBHL is proud to support this program, funding five STEM-focused research projects funded this summer. 📚 Congratulations to all the students, and a heartfelt thank you to the IMPRESS team at Branches, the mentors and the project hosts for making this year's edition another resounding success! 🌟
