At the Halifax Port Authority, we’re privileged to have a team diverse in their experiences. Today we’re highlighting one of our team members who brings a unique blend of leadership, courage, and maritime expertise. Deputy Harbour Master Corey L.E. Gleason, previously served as a Captain in the Royal Canadian Navy | Marine royale canadienne (RCN) and was the first Commanding Officer of the RCN’s first Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessel. Recently, he and his crew onboard HMCS Harry DeWolf were honoured for successfully circumnavigating North America as part of their mission. They sailed through the Northwest Passage, becoming the first RCN ship to do so since 1954. Corey brings to the Port of Halifax the same spirit of determination and excellence that marked his naval career. His achievement is a personal milestone and inspiration to us all. Congratulations Corey! /// À l'Administration portuaire de Halifax, nous avons le privilège d'avoir une équipe avec les expériences diverses. Aujourd'hui, nous mettons en lumière l'un des membres de notre équipe qui apporte un mélange unique de leadership, de courage et d'expertise maritime. Le capitaine de port adjoint Corey L.E. Gleason a servi comme capitaine dans la Marine royale canadienne et a été le premier commandant du premier navire de patrouille extracôtier et arctique de la MRC.
