Congrats Plenty on today's announcement! It's about time there's an investment platform purpose built for the modern couple. https://lnkd.in/efdbs_NS

Next month, we’re launching egg freezing as a goal couples can save for on Plenty. For our founder Emily Luk, CPA, CFA, it’s personal. She opens up in an intimate article about why she chose to freeze her eggs in her twenties and the data behind that decision. Read it on the blog. https://lnkd.in/gQ8reHZi
Amazing opportunity to be at the ground level and make a huge impact.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a Strategy & Ops lead to work closely with me to optimize day-to-day ops and own critical programs across the business. It's a very unique role and opportunity to parachute in and solve problems. We're first movers and have the chance to corner our market. Our reason for being is to help suppliers build listings and manage their catalog data on places like Wayfair, Bed Bath & Beyond, Houzz. There’s never been a more challenging time or greater opportunity for the furniture and home-goods category. My DMs are open. https://lnkd.in/ghH25GhU

I have big news to share! First, Quilt will be launching our new home heating & cooling system on May 15, with a livestream you should tune in for. More here: https://lnkd.in/grWcMEFN Second, we have raised $33 million in a Series A, led by the incredible Energy Impact Partners and Galvanize Climate Solutions. TechCrunch and Heatmap articles below, in the first comment. The last year and a half has been the most meaningful and productive of my life. It's really clear to me now that the energy transition is going to define this era of humanity. Accomplishing it – and beating climate change – will be the largest shared accomplishment in our history. And I'm more convinced than ever that we *will* accomplish this. Homes are the next great wave of electrification after vehicles. And it turns out heating and cooling is, by far, the biggest piece of it. Here are a few reasons you might want to tune into the launch event on May 15: 1. You want to improve the heating or cooling situation in your home. Maybe you're shopping for a heat pump but aren't excited about the options available today. 2. You care about climate and the energy transition and want to see how Quilt will accelerate getting off fossil fuels in the home. 3. You care about design and technology and want to see how the best of both can help address one of humanity's greatest challenges. None of this would be possible without incredible, mission-aligned partners like EIP and Galvanize and everyone else participating in our Series A – new investors like the Property Brothers’ Drew Scott, and existing investors like Lowercarbon Capital, Gradient Ventures, MCJ Collective, Garage Capital, and Incite.org. These folks are far more than financial investors. In particular, both EIP and Galvanize blew us away with the level of deep thinking they had done about heat pumps and residential HVAC before we had ever met them. I also want to welcome Sameer Reddy and Veery Maxwell to their new board roles at Quilt – you have both already been incredibly useful thought partners and connectors. I'm looking forward to working together for many years to come!

15 months into our journey, I’m excited to share that tofu closed an oversubscribed pre-seed to scale up our talent sharing marketplace. Night Capital (Kevin Carter), Ritual Capital (Chris H.), Garage Capital (Mike McCauley, Michael Litt and Devon Galloway), Wayfinder Ventures (Yuri Sagalov), and Deva Santiago (recruiting leader @ Dropbox, Weebly, Nurx, Rippling and Tailscale) helped us make this round possible. Jonathan Perez and I decided to start tofu to address the inefficiencies created from interviewing candidates at scale. By our estimate, companies spend 25 million hours a year interviewing candidates, often the same candidate. Those candidates spend almost 175 million hours a year interviewing across various roles. As you can imagine, this results in a lot of duplicative effort. tofu’s mission is to unlock this idle talent information, convert sunk interview time and costs into value, and empower companies and candidates to connect in minutes. We like to think of it as the Airbnb of recruiting. In the last 12 months since we launched our first MVP, more than 170 companies are sharing talent on our platform. We’ve helped dozens of candidates find jobs, saved companies weeks filling roles, and spoken with 250 talent leaders to create an experience radically different from anything else on the market. tofu wouldn’t have reached this milestone if not for some very special people who have expedited our journey from zero to one. We’re here because of folks like Suneel Mudaliar, Joel Torres, and Bryan Powell from Insight Partners. Matt Hoffman and Loren Boyce from M13. Neil Parikh (founder of Casper), Jared Hecht (Founder of GroupMe and Fundera by NerdWallet), Haftan Eckholdt (Flagship CTO), David Kaminsky (VP Engineering @ Zocdoc), and Max Schwartz-Labell. 🚀 We’re hiring our first Founding Engineer to join us on our mission to connect every company in the world. If you get excited by creating something from nothing, like building marketplaces, and want to be part of a company changing the way companies and talent come together, we want to hear from you. Please feel free to DM me on LinkedIn or apply through the link in the comments.
