Commercializing a greener way to purify and desalinate water, using a proprietary forward osmosis process.
About us
Based on a technology invented at Queen's University by Dr. Philip Jessop, Forward Water Technologies is commercializing a greener and more efficient way to desalinate water. Forward Water Technologies' green desalination system is capable of purifying water using one of nature's natural driving forces known as osmotic pressure. With their proprietary switchable salt, Forward Water Technologies is able to create an extremely salty solution that is capable of drawing pure water across a membrane without the use of heat or energy. Once this process is complete, the switchable salt is "switched off," removed from the system and collected again for re-use. This breakthrough process, driven by forward osmosis, holds the promise of clean water for millions around the world. For more information, please contact us at: [email protected]

Webinar: Escalate with Aluminate-Optimizing LADH Performance The heart of a Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) process is the sorbent used in recovery of lithium from brine. Sorbents with base materials of aluminum, magnesium or titanium are the most common sorbents used in DLE applications today however simply selecting of one of these sorbents does not guarantee good lithium recovery if the process used is not optimized for its operation. In this webinar series we will examine and discuss the use of Lithium Aluminate Layered Double Hydroxide Chloride (LADH-Cl) sorbents, contaminants of concern and how to maximize lithium recovery by optimizing process operations.
