I’m proud to share our 2023 Sustainability Report, which tells the story of how sustainability guides our actions and aspirations as our employees provide critical energy services to nearly 1.3 million B.C. homes and businesses. From our investment in grassroots initiatives across the province, to our large-scale work to maintain and improve our gas and electricity systems, the 2023 report reveals how we put sustainability front and centre throughout our organization. I would encourage everyone to take a look at our new report and learn more about our work in Indigenous and local communities, our day-to-day operations, our people and our efforts to help progress the energy transition in British Columbia. We’ve got rebates for eligible commercial customers on dual fuel rooftop units (RTUs). These packaged units combine an electric heat pump and a gas-fired burner that provide heating and cooling. They provide an option for commercial new construction and existing buildings to reduce energy consumption and overall greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining access to the reliability of the gas system. “[We have] actions and goals from our Corporate Energy and Emissions Management Plan to increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions in our existing buildings,” said Odessa Cohen, whose organization—The District of Summerland—was an early adopter of these units. “The higher-efficiency dual fuel RTUs support these goals.” https://bit.ly/3MlV4mQ
