Meet Greg North: Through the influence of traveling and his love for aviation, Greg started his journey with Flair Airlines almost five years ago. “When I joined Flair, we had three planes and less than 100 Flight Attendants. I had the opportunity to create close friendships with colleagues from day one. With other airlines, you might work with someone once a year, but with Flair, you get to see the same people three to four times a month, which makes work not feel like work.” His advice for aspiring Flight Attendants: “You must bring extra patience on your flights, an easy-going attitude, and an empathetic mindset to ensure you’re always prepared to offer the best travel experience to customers. Aren’t sure if you can trust flying with Flair? While much of the world’s planes were grounded by the global outage, Flair's resilience and agility kept our planes flying. Over two days, Porter cancelled 108 flights, WestJet cancelled 49, Air Canada cancelled 41, and Flair cancelled 2. Our flights arrived on-time at 78.4%, while Air Canada clocked in at 66.5%, WestJet at 59.9%, and Porter at (ouch) 36.6%. Our numbers speak for themselves. 🛫 June was a high-flying month at Flair! We once again took 1st 🏆 place as Canada's most reliable airline, with 99.1% of our flights completed! We also celebrated flying the most passengers ever, achieving a remarkable 93% load factor. Something happened around the Canada Day long weekend that meant we needed to fly a few extra passengers...✈️🇨🇦 Last but not least, we remain Canada's greenest 🌱 airline, boasting significantly lower carbon emissions than our competitors. Believe it or not, by not having seats that manually recline, our planes fly lighter and our fuel burns more efficiently. So, by working on your posture, you're also helping the environment. The bustling pancake breakfast celebrated Calgary’s vibrant culture, community, art, and paid homage to the “Largest Outdoor Show on Earth” while celebrating what it looks like to live with flair • 🤠🎨 Tipping our hats to Home & Away Bar for hosting the event, Fly YYC for the perfect ice-breaker welcome drink, Good Luck Trucks for the custom trucker hats pop-up bar featuring patches of Mandy’s artwork, and Mandy for showcasing her lively and beautiful piece, encompassing community and art, all in our dot. Meet Faisa Awaleh: Faisa began her journey at Flair Airlines as a contractor, supporting the rapid growth of the organization. What started as a temporary position quickly evolved into a long-term career opportunity for Faisa, who became Flair's first Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this role, Faisa supports various technical fields, including Airport Operations, Maintenance, IT, and Flight Operations, and has successfully hired well over 100 new employees to join our team. As a subject matter expert in recruitment, Faisa is now mentoring other team members to enhance their skills and effectiveness in sourcing and hiring top talent.
