Introducing JASPER by Michael Archambault, the newest piece in our Public Art collection bringing our current art installations to 33 across our portfolio.
JASPER demonstrates the journey of people moving through or viewing the building from above. Its materiality creates optical illusions, shifting with different perspectives and interactions. This artwork aims to be bright, playful, and engaging, giving the Wilderton Centre a distinct identity while strengthening the community's connection to the neighbourhood.
Michel Archambault, based in #Montreal, Quebec, is a multidisciplinary visual artist skilled in sculpture, painting, and photography. His diverse yet coherent work has been exhibited in various prestigious venues, showcasing his unique ability to blend different artistic languages.
For over twelve years, we have been dedicated to supporting artists and investing in the communities we serve. Through public art calls, competitions, and lasting partnerships with leading institutions across Canada ( OCAD University, Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Concordia University, and more), we've brought pieces to our properties that spark conversation and bring people together.
