We’re excited to share that Connor Teskey has been named The Globe and Mail’s Corporate Citizen of the Year for leading the growth of Brookfield’s renewable energy business and driving material decarbonization through the Global Transition Fund. James Bradshaw comments: Brookfield’s approach has been to largely focus on meeting corporate demand for clean energy, such as agreements to supply companies with power, rather than with centralized utilities or governments. “Really, what is driving decarbonization on a global basis today is corporate demand,” Teskey says. “It’s much more a corporate pull now than a government push.” Read the full article below.

Congratulations to Colin Clark for being honored with Electricity Canada’s Jim McFadgen Memorial Award for Excellence in Standards! As we celebrate Colin's remarkable achievement, we would also like to highlight our CEO, Josée Guibord’s role on the Board of Electricity Canada. She has been actively contributing to the national voice for sustainable electricity since 2021.
Earlier this week, Electricity Canada presented the first ever Jim McFadgen Memorial Award for Excellence in Standards to Colin Clark, Chief Technical Officer at Brookfield Renewable for his dedication and leadership in electric utility standards. The Jim McFadgen Memorial Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary efforts in the development, implementation, promotion of standards within the industry, as well as leadership qualities that inspire others to embrace and champion standards in collaboration with key stakeholders. Colin has more than 40 years of experience in the electric power generation, transmission, and distribution sectors. He currently leads the engineering and technical aspects of the global power and transition businesses of Brookfield. His previous duties have included engineering and senior management in all areas of electric utility operations, covering design, construction, maintenance, system operations, and immense contributions to standards development.
