The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and Orange Shirt Day, reminds us of the importance of listening, learning, and supporting the healing journey of Indigenous communities. Let us acknowledge the difficult history of residential schools and honor the incredible resilience of survivors and their families. Orange Shirt Day is is an Indigenous-led grassroots commemorative day intended to raise awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of residential schools, and to promote the concept of “Every Child Matters”. Together, we reflect, learn, and commit to a future rooted in healing and understanding. #TruthAndReconciliation #EveryChildMatters #OrangeShirtDay
