What a productive workshop! We are thrilled to have collaborated on this Green Overseas Programme workshop on Energy Efficiency in Buildings. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants for their active involvement and to Green Overseas Programme for the trust in organizing this workshop. The key takeaways of this 3-day event: 🔹 Adapting business models to the context of Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) 🔹 Fostering regional collaboration as many OCTs face similar challenges 🔹 Considering social and environmental aspects of energy efficiency We are always pleased to see such engagement from participants. // Quel atelier productif ! Nous sommes ravis d'avoir collaboré à cet atelier du Green Overseas Programme sur l'efficacité énergétique dans les bâtiments. Nous sommes heureux d'annoncer que la SOFIAC, une solution d'investissement novatrice conçue et mise sur pied par Econoler et Fondaction, a obtenu un investissement important de 12,6 millions de dollars de la part du Gouvernement du Canada ! Cet investissement propulsera la mission de la SOFIAC d'améliorer l'efficacité énergétique des bâtiments commerciaux, institutionnels et multirésidentiels, en aidant les propriétaires et les locataires à réduire leurs factures d'énergie et à diminuer leurs émissions. 🌍💡 Ce financement s'inscrit dans le cadre de la nouvelle Stratégie des bâtiments durables du Gouvernement du Canada, qui vise à rendre la vie plus abordable pour les Canadiens, à lutter contre les changements climatiques et à soutenir la croissance de l'emploi. Cette stratégie comprend un investissement de 177 millions $ dans l'Initiative d'accélération des rénovations majeures, qui financera des mises à niveau complètes des systèmes et équipements des bâtiments dans tout le pays. We are excited to announce that SOFIAC, an innovative investment solution designed and established by Econoler and Fondaction, has secured a significant investment of $12.6 million from the Government of Canada! This investment will propel SOFIAC’s mission to enhance energy efficiency in commercial and multi-residential and institutional buildings, aiding owners and tenants in reducing energy bills and cutting emissions. 🌍💡 This funding is part of the Government of Canada’s new Green Buildings Strategy, which aims to make life more affordable for Canadians, combat climate change, and support job creation. Additionally, the strategy includes a $177 million investment in the Deep Retrofit Accelerator Initiative, focusing on comprehensive upgrades to building systems and equipment across the country. At Econoler, we are immensely proud of SOFIAC’s achievements and grateful for the support from Natural Resources Canada.
