We don’t know what’s funnier: Paul Gaudette looking up at the slide about AI twins or him and Joel Anderson actually twinning 😄 Between Two Joels in the Big Apple was a hit! And here are 5 shocking things we learned about AI: 👉 AlphaFold, developed by DeepMind, can accurately predict the 3D structure of proteins. This breakthrough has mapped almost all of the 200 million proteins in nature, vastly improving our understanding of biology. It's already being used in developing vaccines, cancer cures, and custom enzymes. 👉 Multi-agent systems which consist of specialized AI agents working together to solve problems, coordinated by a lead agent. These systems can operate autonomously, as seen in Amazon's inventory management where robotic and inventory agents manage warehouse operations and stock replenishment seamlessly. 👉 Companies are developing humanoid robots that can perceive, process, and perform tasks in human environments. Initially set to replace humans in dangerous or monotonous jobs, these robots are expected to become commercially available within a decade, potentially transforming various industries. 👉 AI vision technology, like that developed by Onsights, uses computer vision to track shopper behavior in real-time. This technology can help optimize retail layouts, evaluate the impact of in-store marketing, and improve overall store performance by analyzing the entire shopping journey. 👉 AI twins are digital replicas of physical systems or entities, created using data. These digital doppelgängers can simulate and predict real-world behaviors and outcomes, providing valuable insights for various applications, including manufacturing, healthcare, and urban planning. Couldn’t make it to the session? Stay tuned - a recording will be available soon!
