Such a fun and exciting project we were recently apart of!
For the last few years I've been working with I Am Compelled, an educational charity based in Ontario that works to advance Canadian history and heritage for children and youth Over the last few years, we've been to Nova Scotia, Northern Alberta, and this year we had the opportunity to head down to Southern AB in the Cypress Hill region! We spent 5 days capturing stories from various Métis elders/knowledge keepers to put together into a mini documentary/school program. This was a fun project to be apart of and I learned so much about Canadian history, the Métis people, and the Fiddle 🎻 Check out some behind the scenes snaps below! Also the pizza is absolutely baller at the Cafe near Elkwater Lodge. 12/10 would recommend Darkstrand Visuals
