Creativity is more than a tool; it's a necessity. It's what sets professionals apart from everyone else, and it's a skill to be practiced. 💬 “The way that I define creativity in this sense is the ability to ideate,” said Aubie. “So, when we’re thinking about communication, professional communications, being able to be creative means that you’re going to be able to circle the situation – whether it’s a visual identity or a brand strategy – and look at it in ways that not everybody might look at it. In doing so, you’ll find many different approaches, land on something a little more special or meaningful than what might come from everyday thinking.” - Matthew Aubie, Partner and Creative Director, Aubs&Mugg Inc. Shannon Currie, a Senior Writer with @CuriousPblc recaps the top takeaways from our latest episode of Comms In Question: Why you're a 'creative,' and why that's more important than ever. Do you think #Comms professionals are 'creatives'? ➡️ Read more https://bit.ly/4608JsO #Communications #Creativity

Congratulations to Blake Marchildon, our James Bullbrook Memorial Scholarship 2024 recipient!🔥 🔥 🛹 We're giving Blake $500 to put toward a trip to Camp Woodward this summer. There were a lot of excellent contenders for the scholarship, and Blake's story resonated with James' son, Richie Bullbrook and our team the most. Skateboarding and plans to attend Camp Woodward bring Blake's family together, like it did for Richie, James and their family. 🛹 Thank you to all who applied and shared their skate story with us. Keep 👀 here for next year's application open date! 🧡 Special THANK YOU to @CanadaSkateboard for their continued support with this initiative. 📣 SHOUTOUT to all the incredible Canadian skater organizations that have supported in sharing this opportunity with their community. 📸 credits to Chris Fitzsimmons #JBMScholarship #CanadaSkateboard #WoodwardPA #Skateboarder #CanadianSkateboarders #SkateLife #Community #CuriousPublic #Canada

Why is creativity important? And is it innately human? Matthew Aubie has something to say about that in our next episode of Comms In Question on June 19 at 2 PM. Matt Aubie is Partner and Creative Director at Aubs & Mugg Inc., an independent branding agency whose work can be seen in healthcare, education, and other industries. Matt is a brand-building expert with nearly two decades of experience. Matt’s creative practice focuses on uncovering the DNA of a community, business, or product and communicating that essence in meaningful ways — emphasizing the need to “centre the human” in the work. We're excited to hear what Matt and our other panel of experts have to say about the role of creativity in the new future of work. Join the conversation on June 19th at 2 PM ET for our next Comms In Question webinar to talk about why you’re a ‘creative,’ and why that’s more important than ever. ➡️ Save your spot https://bit.ly/3yiob6O #Webinar #Creatives #Branding

Humans are weird. We can -- and do -- feel, say, and think things that contradict each other. Good communicators know this and use that knowledge to create great content and campaigns. The lesson? If you want to beat the machines -- and sound more authentic -- you've got to lean into the paradox. Read more https://bit.ly/3RmT802 #CommsInQuestion #GenerativeAI #Creativity
