    Yesterday, 160 Crowe Soberman employees gathered for an enlightening education session led by Rebecca Lazarenko and Esther Li from CultureAlly. The presentation offered a comprehensive overview of Canada’s residential school system, highlighting the enduring effects on survivors and the families of those subjected to this painful experience. It emphasized the ongoing impacts of intergenerational trauma and systemic oppression, while also celebrating the resilience and success of various Indigenous communities who continue to thrive despite these challenges. The session concluded by providing valuable insights on allyship and the tangible steps we can take to create a more inclusive future.     Happy Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM)! Every year, from September 15 to October 15, we honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of those with roots in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America, and Spain. This year’s theme is “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,” which highlights the Hispanic community's spirit of unity, innovation, and resilience as we collectively drive progress and shape a brighter future. At HelloFresh, we’re excited to celebrate this vibrant month in various ways, starting with our limited-time Hispanic Heritage Month Menu, which showcases authentic flavors inspired by countries such as Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Mexico, and more. Visit weeks 39 and 40 on our menu to check out these amazing recipes labeled #HispanicFlavors inspired by our Hispanic and Latino community at HelloFresh. Our Employee Resource Group, LIMES, has also curated enriching programming for employees. These include HHM training with the DE&I consulting practice CultureAlly, a professional development seminar on Managing Up and Self-Advocacy with José Piñero, lunch catered by Hispanic-owned businesses in our DCs and HQs, live networking events with Hispanic employees at HelloFresh across all levels, community initiatives supporting Hispanic nonprofits, a special live music concert to conclude the celebration, and more. We are thrilled to acknowledge the incredible contributions of our Hispanic and Latino community while welcoming everyone to join in the spirit of unity and support. Throughout HHM and daily, we unite to honor the past, celebrate the present, and drive change for the future.
