So it was both an honor and a challenge to facilitate a team offsite for this 100 person team coming from all corners of the globe. Using a combination of Crewjoy's AI-powered product, and human-centered facilitation, we led this team through a journey of discovering their superpowers and applying them to the real-world challenges they face in their business.     Work is hard. We are all feeling some of that pain. Often when we look ahead, it seems like an unscalable mountain in front of us. That feels particularly daunting when we have just (barely) made it over the last mountain. Budgets are tight, resources are slim. Selling is hard. Finding the right strategy is difficult. Economic times are uncertain. Competitors are popping up. Talent is hard to come by, and keep. Whatever your business, one or more of these things is making your work more difficult. AND..... none of these has the most impact on your success. Your people do. Is your team engaged? Do they feel connected with each other, or are they working in silos? Is interpersonal communication happening effectively? Does your team know how to have healthy conflict? Are their best strengths and skills being leveraged well? You you have enough diversity of perspectives? These are no longer seen as fluffy questions - they are now crucial. When I think about what has made my own work difficult in the past, and now, it's always people dynamics: ❌ I've seen multi-million dollar projects fail, only because two leaders couldn't step into conflict in a healthy way. ❌ I've seen multiple partnerships, that would have otherwise led to massive opportunities on both sides, fail because one person couldn't listen well to another. ❌ I've seen star performers leave a team because their own needs weren't being met well by their manager. I may have been that manager before. ✔ But I've also seen the opposite. Healthy and thriving teams, made up of well-connected but diverse people. Overcoming massive business challenges. Scaling the most daunting mountains because they were fully engaged, fully committed to each other, and putting people first. Isn't that the type of team you'd like to have?     If we could weave an intricate and bespoke organization, full of workflows and business processes that matched the needs and strengths of the specific and diverse members who make up our teams.... we would. But here's the problem: personalizing workflows for each individual and group doesn't scale. This is why we standardize. As leaders, we need to empower teams to be able to consistently produce outcomes, even as team members come and go. This often leads to a lowest-common-denominator sort of approach that is highly repeatable... even if it misses the higher potential of a uniquely designed approach. Because nobody has time to redesign a process to work better for a specific group of humans each time the people within it change. But what if we had help? This is part of what we're working on at Crewjoy. An AI-driven platform that learns about every individual on your team, helps them learn more about themselves, and helps those around them understand them better. This increases empathy, connection, and engagement across the team. But we're going further than that. We're building an engine that will help to redesign entire business workflows based on the unique needs, styles, strengths, and perspectives of the humans within them. Even as those people change, join, move on, and grow. What if we actually could treat our organizations like the living organisms that they are?
