We're delighted to announce that Hamilton L. has joined Cheme, in the role of Director of Capital Projects. Hamilton Liao is a Licensed Engineer, P.Eng (holding licenses in multiple provinces) with 25 years of experience working within the Life Science - pharmaceutical/biotechnology  and industrial sectors such as petrochemical, oil & gas, pulp & paper and waste water treatment. He has been involved in design projects of different magnitudes, spanning the various engineering design stage gates. His core competencies reside in leading and executing/managing large engineering design projects, automation/controls, process engineering and engineering management. Having worked in roles as a consultant, as an owner and in equipment design/fabrication, he provides a unique perspective to clients and in the mentorship of young engineers.  Some of his expertise include: -           Engineering management -           Process Lead -           Skid fabrication/design -           Feasibility Study, Concept Design, Basic Design, Detail Design -           Piping design -           Batch and perfusion bioreactors -           Fermenters and large-scale cell culture -           Upstream and downstream processes -           Process, utility, facility design of large capital projects -           Buffer & media prep, CIP and SIP design -           Automation programming, controls specifications -           FAT/SAT, start-up, commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting -           Functional and detailed specifications -           Single-use technology -           GMP for Drug Substance and Drug Product   -           Material, waste and personnel flow Industries -           Life Science – Biotech/Pharmaceutical -           Oil and Gas -           Waste Water -           Petrochemical Hamilton is thrilled and looking forward to being able to assist our clients to manage their capital projects using best practices that he has accumulated in various industries and roles, in a timely and budget conscience manner.
