The 2024 Summer Paralympic Games kick off today! Tracy Otto, a determined W1 female Para Archer, will proudly represent the United States during the games. As a C5 quadriplegic, Tracy relies on Cheelcare's Companion Q power add-on daily to overcome the numerous challenges she faces in her pursuit of athletic excellence. “Being a Para Archer comes with many challenges, especially when I travel. Oftentimes, I would find myself stuck in a hotel room in other beautiful countries, missing out on an adventure due to the terrain—usually cobblestones, dirt, and other inaccessible areas—and exhaustion from pushing my chair. Not only that, but venues for archery are often not accessible due to the same issue of the terrain, usually grass or turf, which makes it incredibly difficult and exhausting for me to navigate. The device isn’t just beneficial for myself either.
