Dirty hands, sweaty brows and tighter bonds. CWB’s Toronto team is putting down the roots to success in more ways than one. Our team grows stronger together every day, and they continue to give back toto the community where they live and work. Doing so helps to reflect the success – and growth – they want to see among their clients, friends and family. They recently joined forces with Ontario Streams to get outdoors, enjoy nature, and learn more about the natural environment. Ontario Streams plants thousands of native trees and shrubs each year with the help of volunteers from across the GTA. They offer community groups, schools, and organizations a variety of opportunities to get involved with tree planting. Explore their programs and activities here: https://lnkd.in/gdzNcHRz

A week of activities to celebrate Multiculturalism Day? That's the spirit, #TeamTeal! 🎉   CWB Global, one of our employee represented groups, took every opportunity to recognize, celebrate, and learn about the importance of multiculturalism from June 24 to 28. They put together a list of interactive, people-first activities that included listening to our teammates say “hello” and “bye” in their native languages, creating diversity posters and collecting votes for the best, reading a book about embracing family heritage, and - everyone’s favourite - exploring different foods from around the world! Here’s what executive sponsors say about the vital role that multiculturalism has at CWB and in our society: “It is a true gift for everyone at CWB to be able to celebrate so many different cultures, backgrounds, and the values that we have. Multiculturalism is at the core of everything we do, and it allows me to bring my true self to work every single day.” Supriya James, Sr VP, Human Resources “To me, multiculturalism symbolizes all the things my parents sacrificed for their children. It is about values, openness and kindness. It is the beauty of diversity that is the backbone of our country.” Nick Culo, VP, Marketing What does multiculturalism mean to you? Leave your answer in the comments!

Hey business owners, Are you planning to exit your business within the next 10 years? If yes, you’re not alone. 76% of small business owners in Canada plan to leave their business in that time frame. But only one in ten has a formal succession plan in place. When it comes to succession planning, the first question to answer is whether you want to A. exit the business through merger or acquisition, B. sell all or part of the company, or C. pass along control to the kids. Find out how to make the right choice in our article – and remember: the earlier you begin this inevitable process, the more options you have available! https://bit.ly/3Lbh0jK #BusinessSuccession #SmallBusinessTips
