Canadian Forest Owners (CFO) is proud to continue supporting private land forestry research by offering the 3rd Peter deMarsh Memorial Bursary to Jackie Hamilton, who is in the final stage of her PhD candidacy in the Natural Resource Sciences Department at McGill University. Jackie's goal is to highlight the significant contribution of tree managers in producing valuable private and public benefits, which will have an impact on CFO woodlot owners and will hopefully provide a clearer story of the state of working landscapes across Canada. Congratulations to Domenico Iannidinardo on his appointment as the new CEO of Strategic Natural Resources Consultants. Canadian Forest Owners (CFO) was pleased to represent 450,000 private forest landowners at its Days On The Hill event in Ottawa last week. The event was an opportunity to increase awareness of the long-term ecological and economic benefits of private land forestry to Canadians. CFO met with leaders in the federal civil service and parliamentarians from all parties including Parliamentary Secretary Marc Serré and Member of Parliament Jake Stewart.

Canadian Forest Owners (CFO) celebrated Jean Pierre Martel’s distinguished forestry career at our recent Days On The Hill event In Ottawa. Jean Pierre is a leader in Canadian forestry and we are proud that he so ably led CFO for the last 2½ years.

Canadian Forest Owners is proud to support Canada’s housing initiatives. Nearly every Canadian mill uses wood sourced from private forest lands to create housing products, and on average 1 in 5 logs delivered to a mill comes from private forest land. #privateforestland #sustainability
