𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙖 𝙟𝙤𝙗 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙖? 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙖? A job offer and a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) are two different things related to employment in Canada. Job Offer A job offer is an offer of employment made by an employer to a potential employee, outlining the terms and conditions of the employment. It includes information such as job title, duties, work hours, salary, benefits, start date, and other relevant details. A job offer is necessary for most types of work permits in Canada, as it demonstrates that a Canadian employer is willing to hire a foreign worker for a specific job. LMIA A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document issued by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) that assesses the impact of hiring a foreign worker on the Canadian labour market. The assessment considers factors such as the availability of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to fill the job, the wages and working conditions being offered to the foreign worker, and the economic benefits that the foreign worker will bring to Canada. An LMIA is required for most work permit applications in Canada, as it is evidence that the employer has made efforts to hire Canadians first and that the foreign worker is filling a legitimate labor shortage. The difference? A job offer is an offer of employment made by an employer, while an LMIA is a document issued by the Canadian government that assesses the impact of hiring a foreign worker on the Canadian labour market. Hope this helps. Reach out to Canada Hires if you need more insights on the same. Or visit our website for more information to find a job in Canada.
