While many rodeos and western events might traditionally shout "Yeehaw," here in Calgary, we proudly exclaim "YAHOO"! The word “Yahoo” showed up in Calgary Herald articles as far back as 1901, becoming a cultural tradition and offering a unique identity to the Stampede. So, whether you're a born-and-raised Calgarian or a newcomer to our city, when you hear that jubilant "YAHOO," it's our way of welcoming you to join in the festivities and embrace the spirit of Stampede! #CalgaryStampede #YAHOO #WesternHeritage #CommunitySpirit #CRIEC #Stampede2024
