This cutting-edge initiative is designed to elevate awareness and bolster capacity for advancing deep energy retrofit projects within the commercial real estate sector. The goal is to enhance building performance while facilitating the transition to low-carbon operations. "Our team is thrilled about this new program. Now, with advancements in building technology and the launch of this initiative, it's the perfect opportunity for mid-tier buildings to invest in deep retrofits. How BOMA BEST scores with GRESB’s Operational Building Credit Update. GRESB's 2024 Real Estate Standards now include a 'time factor', impacting GRESB scoring for BOMA BEST Certified buildings. This change affects the BC1.2 Operational building credit, with points decreasing over time in a five-year certification program. To maintain optimal GRESB scores, BOMA BEST recommends a four-year certification cycle. This ensures full points for the BC1.2 credit, as the fourth-year verification aligns with GRESB's three-year post-certification timeline.
