Been an insightful few days spent in Canada 🇨🇦, specifically in Montreal, putting final touches coordinating on the Implementation of the Inaugural Africa-Canada Youth Symposium together with colleagues on behalf of the Office of the African Union Chairpersons Envoy on Youth.
This symposium is one for the books, as it aims to bridge the gap between these two vibrant regions by creating a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and mutual learning on advancing Education, Socio-Economic Development and Public health (with a specific focus on Mental Health).
The symposium will bring together young leaders, activists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from Africa and Canada to discuss pressing issues, share experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Tonight’s scheduled gathering reflects the principles enshrined in Article 21 of the African Youth Charter, which underscores the critical role of Diaspora youth participation in shaping societal progress.
Under the Leadership of the AU Youth Envoy, Ms Chido Mpemba; we look forward to a fruitful engagement with the Canadian Diaspora on how we can foster an ecosystem of Unity, Solidarity and Collective action for the advancement of our Continent
Many thanks to partners Tribe Network and Black Founders Network for supporting the implementation of this initiative.
