The researchers at the University of New Mexico have discovered that microplastics in our food and water can cross the intestinal barrier to reach our most sensitive organs. They were among the first to detect the presence of microplastics in the brain. They told the Star, "It’s currently estimated that humans consume about five grams of microplastics per week, equivalent to a credit card." This finding underscores the importance of addressing microplastic pollution. That's why our team at BioPolatis Solutions is dedicated to turning organic waste into truly eco-friendly bioplastic with competitively priced compared to traditional plastics. Our products, GreenCycle EcoResQ, are designed to mitigate both microplastic pollution from plastic waste and greenhouse gas emissions from organic waste. Join us in our mission to make the Earth cleaner and greener. https://lnkd.in/gD_umMaT

BioPolatis: Advancing Eco-Friendly Alternatives in Response to Plastic Bans In response to the recent article on the unintended consequences of plastic bans in New Jersey, BioPolatis underscores the importance of eco-friendly alternatives. While plastic bans target single-use plastics, the pursuit of substitutes can unintentionally contribute to environmental issues. As a bioplastic company in Waterloo, Ontario, our focus is on practical solutions for organic/agricultural waste and combating plastic pollution. BioPolatis transforms organic waste into innovative, sustainable, and compostable bioplastics. The study reveals a rise in plastic consumption post-ban, especially non-recyclable materials like non-woven polypropylene. BioPolatis, however, creates bioplastics that align with circular economy principles, addressing both plastic pollution and broader environmental impacts. We acknowledge the value of plastic bans but stress the need for sustainable alternatives. Collaboratively, we can foster responsible consumption and innovative solutions for a cleaner future. Currently, in partnership with the University of Waterloo, we are enhancing our bio-plastic technology. This sustainable solution addresses plastic pollution and food waste, maintaining competitive pricing compared to traditional plastics. For queries or collaboration opportunities, feel free to contact us. Together, let's shape a more sustainable and environmentally conscious world.
