Avalon Master Builders has begun the construction of the modular units at their Seton Townhomes project! We asked Bryce Baker at Clausal to document this process and he's put together this time lapse video. The modules for the project were built off-site by Grandeur Housing in Manitoba, then transported and assembled on site by Big Block Construction. This approach can dramatically improve the efficiency of the project's construction phase. As we improve this process, we will have another tool for addressing the housing crisis in a more timely way. It’s great to hear the plans for Avalon's Net Zero office and apartment building in Seton are moving along. This mixed-use building will be a fantastic addition, blending sustainable living with vibrant commercial space. This five-storey, 68,200 square foot mixed-use building will host the new location for Avalon Master Builder's head office, as well as several other commercial spaces. Located above this will be 56 apartment units with both one and two-bedroom configurations. This building is a part of Avalon's Net Zero community in Seton that will also include 46 modular townhomes located on the same site! We are thrilled that this development permit release will now allow us to move forward with the construction phase.
