Australian resources business Fortescue is a key driver of Australia’s exporting strength. ✅💡 Fortescue has shipped more than two billion tonnes of iron ore since 2008, and these exports contributed to the A$370b in value attributed to the Australian resources sector in 2023. The group is developing a green steel ‘pit to product’ supply chain in the #Pilbara region of Western Australia, as part of its wider commitment to accelerating the commercial decarbonisation of industry, rapidly, profitably and globally. There’s no mistaking the meaning of the kangaroo. It signals Australia. It is, in fact, the centrepiece of #NationBrandAU. 🦘 Hundreds of Australian businesses, industry organisations and government bodies have benefitted from its power on the global stage — and remarkably it remains free to use. The kangaroo logo was created by acclaimed Indigenous Australian design and strategy agency BALARINJI. The agency’s Ros Moriarty and John Bridges will share insights into their profound ‘Designing with Country’ approach, which delivers unique cultural designs informed by authentic narratives from Country, at SXSW Sydney 2024. 2 degrees of separation to avoid 2 degrees of warming 🌍 ☀ Through interpersonal connections, we build trusted relationships that are the foundation of the important business we need to do. 🗣 There is likely a maximum of 2 degrees of separation between any recipient and a highly influential network of key decision makers in business, finance and government. 💪 We need to optimise these connections to ensure the movement to channel capital to climate solutions rapidly gathers pace. 🎗 In-person events are a way to enhance our professional networks and support a thriving business ecosystem. They are an important way to establish a personal rapport and bring the diversity of people together for cross pollination; investors, entrepreneurs, government officials, corporations, and climate leaders, that you may not otherwise meet. Over the next six months there are many global and local gatherings- New York Climate Week, the UN Biodiversity conference in Columbia, COP29 Azerbaijan in Baku, and back Down Under events include the Global Nature Positive Summit 2024 Summit, the Carbon Market Institute (CMI) Emission Reduction Summit, the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) Summit the Australian Sustainable Finance Institute Summit and Climate Salad’s annual Clean Tech Festival. Choose the events where you can maximise making key connections, involve your networks and bring in your most senior colleagues. Organise in advance how you can play your role in participating in meaningful commercial interaction and knowledge exchange. The one event you do not want to miss is the 3rd Annual Climate Investor Forum 2025, in Melbourne, Australia on 19 March 2025. Where those in attendance will be part of a unique network, at an iconic venue and will be empowered to influence, lead, motivate and inspire climate action amongst the 2 degrees of seperation in their networks. 💥 And have some fun! We are excited to be announcing our confirmed sponsors for 2025, and look forward to announcing further sponsors soon. 💫 Host Sponsor City of Melbourne 💫Major Partners Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) Pollination 💫Diamond Sponsor Wollemi Capital 💫Gold Sponsors Clean Energy Finance Corporation Titanium Ventures Trawalla Group Transition Accelerator 💫Silver Sponsors KPMG High Growth Ventures Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) Gilbert Tobin Early Registration Currently Available - register HERE 🚀 👇 (*limited) https://lnkd.in/g-XYnuZY For partnership and sponsorship opportunities - contact 🚀 👇 [email protected] Check us out at- 🚀 👇 https://lnkd.in/gUBTA349 Peter Castellas Michele Hartz #climatesolutions #netzero #climateinvesting #decarbonisation #energy #water #transport #ocean #circulareconomy #foodandagriculture #buildings #infrastructure #renewableenergy #climatetech #naturebased #mineralsresources

As a girl growing up in Kakadu, Kylie-Lee Bradford had a dream: she wanted to start a business offering products made from wild harvested native foods. 🌱 This #IndigenousBusinessMonth, we’re celebrating the First Nations exporting businesses bringing Australia’s innovation and unique products to the world! 🖤💛❤️💚💙 The proud Murrumburr woman from Kakadu National Park has made her dream come true. Kakadu Organics uses beautiful native ingredients like Kakadu plum, lemon myrtle and wild lime in its foods, teas and wellness products. Now, the #FirstNations business wants to share its products with the world. Kylie used Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade)’s Go Global Toolkit to test her export readiness, research markets and prepare an export plan, and took part in a trade mission to Southeast Asia for First Nations business, that resulted in her first export deal with Singapore’s Ryan's Grocery. Kakadu Organics’ success is enabling Kylie to fulfil another dream: through a give-back program, she is empowering other First Nations women to succeed in business, arts and culture.
