Last week, members of our team had the pleasure of attending the International Pipeline Conference & Expo. We kicked off the week by presenting a tutorial on “Practical Applications of Machine Learning and Generative AI in Pipeline Engineering”, led by Eric Nosal, Farhad Davaripour, Ph.D., and Shahani Kariyawasam Ph.D., P.Eng. It was inspiring to see so many industry professionals eager to explore the future of AI in pipeline safety and operations. Throughout the conference, we were captivated by insightful technical sessions and exhibitions. Key highlights included innovative work in pipeline safety and integrity. Industry experts shared case studies that provided valuable lessons from the field, which demonstrate the ongoing efforts to enhance risk management. A big thank you to the ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) for hosting this event. Thank you to the speakers and attendees who connected with us and gave us new ideas throughout the week. We are leaving with a renewed interest in driving innovation in pipeline safety and engineering!

We recently partnered with a leading Canadian energy company to revolutionize their pipeline integrity assessments. Our solution involved migrating our client’s infrastructure to AWS. We created a unified platform that allows business users to identify when pipes need to be repaired. This allows our client to run their industry-leading threat management algorithms at scale. By leveraging the power of cloud computing, our client completes their assessments up to 50% faster. They can view operational risks sooner, which saves them time and money. This solution aligns with our client’s commitment to safety and sustainability while catalyzing their business development and innovation. The impact: 💰 Readily available field data keeps their project budget and schedules on track 🛠️ Pipeline integrity forecasts ensure that faulty pipes are repaired properly 📈 Transparent, trustworthy data analysis provides confidence in their operational decisions We are proud to deliver software solutions that target the unique challenges in the energy industry. If your business is looking to enable operational efficiency through cutting-edge technology, let’s connect!

Thank you to Energy Accountants Society of Canada for including us as guest speakers in this year's Education Day. One of our data leaders, Eric Nosal, spoke about the modernization of data in a world where Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly the norm. It was an opportunity to share our expertise on leveraging AI and ML technologies to transform data ecosystems, streamline operations, and promote insight driven decision-making. The key points from the presentation: (1) The Importance of Data Quality: Before considering AI/ML solutions, the data journey begins with ensuring high-quality and clean data, a critical component for meaningful outcomes. Datalakes are a trending solution to this. (2) Predicting The Unpredictable: The path of AI is a process and it may not be entirely predictable. It's important to learn and iterate to mitigate uncertainty. (3) Ethical Considerations in AI: With the exponential growth in the possible with AI, ethics must be top-of-mind to ensure transparency, fairness, and robust data protection. A thank you to the organizers for putting together this insightful day and to the other speakers who brought their own perspectives and insights to the energy conversation. We're looking forward to future collaborations and continuing the conversation around the journey of data. Let's keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI and ML! #yyctech #yycbusiness #datamodernization #ai #genai #machinelearning #datajourney #dataquality #datalake #dataethics
