  • Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. A day to remember those who have fallen victim to overdoses and the loved ones they have left behind. This year's theme “Together We Can”, highlights the power of our community when we all stand together. While every individual action matters greatly, coming together as an international community creates a powerful collective action. If you would like to show your support, tonight there will be a memorial walk at Mill Lake Park at 6:30pm, hosted by L.I.F.E. Recovery Association to honor loved ones who have lost their lives to overdose.

  • We want to say a HUGE thank you to Vitalus Nutrition Inc (along with donations from Saputo Inc. and Freybe Gourmet Foods) for purchasing and putting together 476 snack packs for the children participating in Summer Starfish this year! Vitalus Nutrition has been a long-time supporter of our Starfish Pack Program, volunteering hundreds of hours over the years! These snack packs were filled with a variety of nutritious and fun snacks! We are so grateful, and the families loved them!

  • Abbotsford's favorite holiday tradition is back on Sunday November 24th from 10 am to 1 pm! The 12th annual Toys for Tots Brunch is coming up soon and were looking for sponsors to make a difference and spread the sprit of giving this holiday season. By becoming a sponsor you will be supporting an event that brings together our entire community to ensure children in Abbotsford are able to experience the joy of finding a gift under their tree at Christmas. • As we celebrate our 55th anniversary this year, we’re looking back at the growth of our programs and services over the years. In the late 1970s Archway established their first distinct multicultural service contract. Over the years, services were created to meet the needs of refugees from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Kosovo, Syria and more. Services have grown to include assistance with housing, providing English classes, friendship-matching services, after-school programs and employment services.

  • Did you know that sexual abuse toward men is often overlooked, neglected, and poorly understood? The lack of understanding and available resources surrounding this topic often leads to additional trauma for male sexual abuse survivors. It is important that we raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and break the silence and stigma surrounding this neglected issue. In an effort to aid those who have similar experiences, two male survivors of sexual abuse shared their stories with us and how they were able to find healing. Listen to their stories and find support services like Archway's Men's Trauma Counselling at Archway.ca/malesurvivors

  • On August 20th, our Immigrant Settlement Team enjoyed dragon boating at Harrison Lake as part of their annual team day, helping staff recharge as they gear up for a busy fall season. They also spent time engaging in various team building exercises while highlighting individual and team achievements from the past year.
