BFN’s super power is our community, and we want to give some people their flowers! For the last four months, our amazing BFN entrepreneurs and experts in residence have played a pivotal role in supporting the current founders in our flagship programs (#BFNAccelerate & #BFNSmartStart). Successful #Blackfounders themselves, their experiences and skills have provided immense value to those coming after them. Many of them graduated from the same programs in the past, and we believe it’s important for Black founders to learn from experts with shared lived experiences As we gear up for our Demo Day & 3rd Anniversary tomorrow by 4:30pm, we are excited to see the results of their hard work with our graduating 2024 cohorts You can learn more and join the celebration here: https://lnkd.in/gEZNFs7R Tanika, Ehi, Aileen, Edgar, Mthabisi, Angela, Tosin, Adetola, Folasade, Kimberly, Munachi, Romeo

We are happy to share with you this great achievement! Our commitment to making a social impact through our Annual Photography Competition & Exhibition is for the long haul. The pre-incubation program by African Impact Initiative has helped us to position ourselves for potential sponsorship opportunities. We are looking forward to hosting a successful 2025 event, and for that, we still require the support and while preparing for it. We will be starting with the workshops first before the competition call out. More details will be shared across all the social media platforms in due course.

Today I started my professional mentorship at LinkedIn as part of the TechWomen program. I received a very warm welcome from my professional mentor Pranali Khadpe a very rare and amazing powerhouse! I had the privilege of meeting the LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky, this was truly one of my highlights. I also attended two lightening talks about “360 Degree Leadership and Information Condensation” by two distinguished speakers Eynav Mass and Diana Zhang . My three takeaway points from the talks are as follows: 1.Communicate with impact by paying attention to what you say,how you say it and to who you say it. 2. 360° leadership starts with you then your team, your peers and your manager. 3. Find your unique footprint, you already have one! During my time at LinkedIn,I will work on product development and product management, AI ethics, governance and inclusion with a focus in EdTech. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Pranali Khadpe ,looking forward to learning from her and the rest of the LinkedIn team. TechWomen Shokhista Ergasheva Yuliya Mamedova

Excited to share that we launched our very first Enlighten Digital Hub Enlighten Edu in Tanga Village in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The digital hub complements the web application platform we have built. A digital hub is a space where learners have access to mobile devices, adequate internet connectivity and mobile data to access online sessions on our platform seamlessly. Our platform provides a personal feel online through video and an integrated whiteboard. We use analytics to monitor the learner progress and inform the teacher of areas where the learner struggles with the most.   I am truly grateful to Old Mutual Foundation for partnering with us to see this dream come to reality. Digital inclusion begins with accessibility, access to ICT devices, connectivity and skills. In Africa only 33 percent of the population was using the internet in 2021, meaning an estimated 871 million people are not realizing digital dividends. We are planning to launch more digital hubs across the continent and are actively looking for partners and collaborators. My mission is to ensure that rural communities are not left behind in the digital revolution. I would also like to thank the African Impact Initiative and Propella Business Incubator for supporting our journey. We are learning and growing, one day at a time.
