Gym Challenge (Japanese: ジムチャレンジ Gym Challenge) is an anime-exclusive tournament in the Galar Region for Trainers from all over the world can participate in the Wyndon Conference (Japanese:ガラルリーグ 大会 Galar League Tournament) held in Wyndon Stadium. It is an annual competition to determine the strongest trainer, and said trainer has the opportunity to defeat Galar's current champion and gain the title of champion.
Registration
To compete in the tournament, participants must register themselves first in Motostoke Stadium before the closing deadline.
Future Gym Challengers will receive a booked room in their name at the Budew Drop Inn the day before the Opening Ceremony to prevent tardiness.
Opening Ceremony
After registering for the Gym Challenge, trainers will be given numbers and will gather at the Motostoke Stadium where Rose will give a speech and then introduce the Gym Leaders who will be participating in the current year's event. The trainers will then go through an elimination round where the numbers they have been given will be randomized and they will then face each other in a 1v1 match. This test is designed to ensure serious competition and competitiveness among the trainers.
Trainers who emerge victorious are allowed to participate in the annual event and gain Gym Challenger status and are given a Gym Challenger uniform with their corresponding number, a league bracelet, and a Gym Badge ring. Trainers will also receive a camping kit.
Each Trainer will have a profile created that will keep track of progress such as badge progress, this information are monitored by league members.
Trainers are encouraged to create League Cards.
Rules
Gym Challengers must:
- Wear their League Bracelet at all times to distinguish themselves from other Pokémon Trainers.
- Be on time for their battles against Gym Leaders.
- Challenge the gyms in a specific order.
- Use Dynamax for each gym battle (Expect Piers).
Gym challengers can't:
- Vandalize.
- Engage in battle with other Gym Challengers outside of the tournament.
- Bribe their way through the Gym Challenge.
- Re-enter after deciding to withdraw from the current year's Gym Challenge.

- Since Spikemuth's gym doesn't have a Power Spot or stadium, it gives trainers who relied on Dynamaxing another way to fight a gym leader.
Badges
After defeating the Gym Leader, they'll reward the gym challenger with a badge as prove of their victory.

- Once the annual league conference begins, the gym badges that the trainer has accumulated will automatically become ineffective and cannot be used in the next year's league conference.
Gym Challenge
Each of these Gym Challenges corresponds to a Gym Leader's specialty and helps trainer learn more about themselves and are done each with one of their Pokémon. The Gym Challenges will take place either with one trainer at a time or with multiple trainers at the same time, and depending on the number of trainers, the Gym Battles will take place after the Gym challenge or the day after. Trainers who have lost to a gym leader and want a rematch do not have to do the gym challenge again.

- Gym Leaders in Stow-on-Side and Circhester can give their league cards to trainers who are not their opponent as a participation prizes.
Rounds
After the opening ceremony elimination round, the trainers are allowed to enter the first round, which includes defeating the first four gym leaders within a deadline, the first four gym leaders are the "easiest" and are for gym challengers to practice and gain experience and develop their battle styles. While the second round is considered the "hardest", as the gym leaders will test the skills of the gym challengers after they defeat the first round.
Gym Challengers who lose their first match will be able to have a rematch a few days after their defeat.
In Stow-on-Side and Circhester, the two leaders take turns taking on challengers, and their gym's type theme is changed accordingly when they battle (gym and badge). The two Gym Leaders are randomly selected for each Trainer and are definite and can not be adjusted to a trainers wants.
Elimination Round
Using one Pokémon each, 1v1 match are done in Motostoke Stadium during the opening ceremony, allowing those who won to pass to the first round.

Wyndon Conference
After collecting all eight Gym Badges in the Galar region, Gym Challengers are eligible to participate in a five-day competition. Competing trainers will be housed in the Rose of Rondelands throughout the event.
Trainers who are unable to collect all 8 Gym Badges before the Wyndon Conference are not eligible to participate.
Competition
Opening ceremonies
The opening ceremony consists of Leon and Rose welcoming all the trainers and the audience, and his Charizard lighting the Pokémon League torch with Flamethrower.
Rounds
Preliminary round
In the preliminary round, which consists of Single Battles, Trainers must use only one Pokémon. All 128 competitors are randomly matched up by a computer. The 64 winning Trainers move on to the qualifying rounds.
Qualifying rounds
The qualifying rounds are divided in three portions consisting of Single Battles. In the first two, the competing Trainers must use three Pokémon, while in the third portion they have to use four Pokémon. Trainers are knocked out of the tournament when all of their Pokémon are left unable to battle. The winning Trainers proceed to the final rounds.
Final rounds
The final rounds are a series of Full Battles with the Top 8 Trainers participating. The Trainer who wins all of the final rounds is declared the winner of the Wyndon Conference, earning the chance to balttle in Galar's Champion.
Participation plaques are given to all the trainers who were able to participate in the conference with their place number.
Closing Ceremony
After the awards ceremony, the event will conclude with a party outside the stadium to celebrate the hard work of all the contestants and a fireworks display. League bracelets are then returned back to the league.
Master Dojo training
Former Gym Challengers who wish to improve their fighting skills can enroll in Mustard's Master Dojo program on the Isle of Armor. They will receive a dojo uniform and begin training immediately.
To pass the program, students must be able to defeat Mustard (as a former Fighting-Type Dojo leader) in a Dynamax Battle.
The daily training regimen includes:
- Intensive physical training for both trainers and Pokémon.
- A meditation session.
- Completing chores inside the Master Dojo.
- Battle matches between students.
After passing the program and defeating Mustard, Mustard will reward the student with his rare league card and a certification of completion.
