Rocky Beach is the name of the deck used by Reed Weichler, the Junior Finalist in the 2004 World Championships. The deck focuses on Swampert, and uses other Pokémon, such as Magneton and Delcatty to maximize Swampert ex's damage output. The strategy of the deck is to use Swampert's Water Call Poké-Power to add extra damage to Swampert ex's Hyper Pump attack. Delcatty's Energy Draw allows the player to draw three more cards after discarding an Energy card from their hand, which can be retrieved by using Magneton's Magnetic Field Poké-Power. Wobbuffet counters opposing Pokémon-ex using its Safeguard Poké-Body, while Suicune ex both provides a counter to Fire-type and attacks by manipulating Energy, similar to Swampert ex.
Rocky Beach is one of the four 2004 World Championships Decks, released in November 2004. Each deck comes packaged with a 2004 World Championships Booklet. Each card features a silver border, Weichler's signature, and limited edition 2004 World Championships back. None of the cards are tournament legal.
Description
Reed Weichler's Rocky Beach deck is swimming with Water Energy. Between Swampert ex's Hyper Pump and Swampert's ability to provide extra Energy to the Active Pokémon, there's no way opponents can stay afloat for long.
