Release information
This card was included in the English Mysterious Treasures expansion with artwork by Sumiyoshi Kizuki, first released in the Japanese Secret of the Lakes expansion. This card was reprinted as one of the DP Black Star Promos with different artwork by the same artist. It was released in November 2007 in the Secret Wonders Deck Pack, and also available as one of several cards in the various iterations of DP Value Pack 2 released outside North America. The Japanese version was released in the Rampardos the Attacker Half Deck.
In Japan, a Holofoil DP-P Promotional version of the Secret of the Lakes print was available as part of the Trade Please DP event held at participating store chains from July 8, 2007 for as long as stocks lasted. Visitors could trade any 1 Pokémon card (including International cards and Japanese cards with a classic reverse) with attendants for 1 of 5 promotional cards at random. Trainer cards and Energy cards were specifically excluded from the trade. Another Holofoil DP-P Promotional version, this time of the Japanese Rampardos the Attacker print, was awarded as a prize for competing in the Entry and One Day Battles at the Summer 2007 Battle Road. A Mirror Reverse Holofoil variant of the Mysterious Treasures print with a "Diamond & Pearl" stamp was released as part of a Burger King promotion in July 2008. A version of the DP Black Star Promo print with a silver snowflake stamp was one of 24 cards released in the Pokémon Countdown Calendar in October 2008.

- The special variant from the Pokémon Countdown Calendar was featured as the card for Christmas Eve, and as such, differs from the other cards in the calendar by having a Holofoil treatment and a silver snowflake stamp instead of a gold one.
