Horsea's Necklace
タッツーくんの首飾り
Tattu-kun's Necklace
Horsea's Necklace (Japanese: タッツーくんの首飾り Tattu-kun's Necklace) is the first bonus chapter of the Magical Pokémon Journey manga.
Plot
At the beach, Hazel tries to convince Almond to join her in a tanning contest, where the prize is a vacation for two. Almond, however, would rather go fishing on his own. When he takes off, Pikachu follows after him, but only to tease him for blushing at Hazel earlier. Wanting to win the vacation for herself and Almond, Hazel leaves to work on her tan. While walking alone on the shore, she suddenly slips and falls into the water.
As Hazel sinks into the sea, a Horsea swims up to her and gives her a stone, telling her in human language to swallow it. After she does so, she is amazed to find it allows her to breathe underwater. She befriends the Horsea, and it asks her if she can help it find a necklace it had dropped between some rocks. Believing the necklace to belong to someone Horsea loves, she readily agrees to assist.
When Hazel tries to move a large, dark rock that is blocking the necklace, she is shocked to see that it is actually a Cloyster. Annoyed at the two for waking it up, Cloyster demands they leave it alone. Hazel yells at Cloyster for belittling a "token of love" and scares it into moving aside, allowing Horsea to reclaim the necklace. Horsea then delivers the necklace as a birthday gift to a mermaid named Lady Marryn. Grateful for Hazel's help, Lady Marryn has a Lapras give Hazel a ride back to the shore.
Almond and Pikachu are frantically searching for Hazel when she surfaces. While Pikachu immediately jumps into her arms, Almond denies ever being worried. Later that day, Hazel and Almond ride Lapras together, and Grandpa wins the tanning contest.
