Sword & Shield: Infinite Power (Chinese: 劍&盾:無極力量) is the name given to the second of three asian Sword & Shield Era catch-up sets in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is exclusively available in Traditional Chinese. It is the final Traditional Chinese catch up set before joining the regular TPC sets from Amazing Volt Tackle onwards.
Information
Infinite Power was released on August 21, 2020. This set is composed of cards sourced from the Japanese Infinity Zone expansion, the Explosive Walker and Legendary Heartbeat subsets, and the Charizard & Grimmsnarl VMAX Starter Sets. It is split into two collections, Set A and Set B, each of which feature specific type rosters. Set A focuses on Grass, Water, Psychic, and Darkness-type Pokémon, while Set B focuses on Fire, Lightning, Fighting, and Metal-type Pokémon. Both sets also include a number of Amazing Pokémon, which make their Chinese-language debut. Each pack contains five cards.
Indeedee V in Set A features artwork not released in Japan or Internationally at the time of Infinite Power's release. It is speculated the Japanese copy of the card was to be distributed at the remaining Champion's League events of the 2019-2020 season (scheduled before this set's release), which were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was eventually distributed at the Champion's League 2021 Yokohama event, almost 2 months after the release of this set.
