Release information

This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art card in the Sword & Shield expansion, first released in the Japanese Shield expansion. Both prints feature artwork by 5ban Graphics. In Japan, it was reprinted as a S-P Promotional card with different artwork by the same artist and was first available as a winner's prize at the 2021 Yokohama Champion's League, held at the Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama on October 3 and 4, 2020.[1] To obtain this prize, competitors in the Junior League were required to win at least four games in the qualifying round and competitors in the Senior League were required to win at least five. Master League competitors could qualify for this prize by placing in the top 256 after the first qualifying round on day one.[2] It was also available as a winner's prize at the 2021 Aichi Champion's League, held at the Aichi International Exhibition Center, Tokoname on March 28, 2021.[3] To qualify for it at this event, Junior League competitors were required to win four matches; Senior League competitors were required to win five matches; Master League competitors were required to win seven matches; and Open League competitors were required to win five matches.[4] This print features the Championship Series 2020 logo on the right side of the illustration. Two other Champion's League meetings were scheduled for the 2020-2021 season, but those events were canceled in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.[5][6] The Sword & Shield Regular print was reprinted in the Japanese Shiny Star V subset, as was a Shiny version of the Full Art print. The S-P Promotional and Shiny prints were later included in the Shining Fates expansion outside Asia.

Trivia

Based on the S-P Promotional print's collection number and the presence of the Championship Series 2020 logo, it is likely this print was intended for distribution at one or both of the remaining Champion's League meetings of the 2019-2020 season, which were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[7][8] This delay led to the first official release of this print appearing in the Chinese-language Infinite Power expansion on August 21, 2020.

Origin

The Sword & Shield prints feature the female form of Indeedee, whereas the Shining Fates Regular print features the male form. Psychic is a move in the Pokémon games that Indeedee can learn. The Shining Fates Shiny Vault print features the Shiny version of female Indeedee.
