To a New Horizon (Japanese: あらたな地平へ! To a New Horizon!) is the eleventh and final chapter of the Pokémon Horizon manga.

Plot

Lycanroc changes from its Midnight Form to Midday Form, and Mana smiles that it must be the close bond between Akira and Lycanroc that enabled it to happen. Tokio scoffs that there is no such thing, but Mana can't believe that as a Trainer he would deny that such a thing exists.

Tokio insists that he does not need a bond to be able to control Pokémon, and sends in Silvally to attack. Moving fast, Lycanroc dodges the attack and counterattacks, and Akira says to keep it up. Tokio shouts for Silvally to speed up to match Lycanroc, and Akira tells Lycanroc to watch Silvally closely. Lycanroc obeys, circling round and attacking Silvally once again. Mana notices that Lycanroc is faster, and is obeying Akira whilst remaining calm, whilst Tokio observes that its movement is flawless. Akira praises Lycanroc's renewed speed and strength, and its control in order to utilise them to the full.

Tokio commands Silvally to use X-Scissor, but Lycanroc dodges it, to the delight of Akira and Mana, and the dismay of Tokio. Using its self-control, Lycanroc speeds up further, using Accelerock on Silvally, the signature move of Midday Lycanroc. Akira says that Tokio should not expect everything to go to plan, but as Silvally stands up, Tokio insists it is going to plan and that Silvally will win this battle.

He relates that, like Silvally–the Artificial Pokémon–he too was created to battle and defeat any opponent. Tossing memory discs to his Pokémon, he commands Silvally to change type, and use Multi-Attack.

The powerful attack floors Lycanroc, and Tokio explains that Silvally's Ability RKS System, allows it to change into any type by simply swapping discs. He has changed Silvally to Steel-type, Lycanroc's weakness, so now it has a type advantage in both Attack and Defense.

Tokio says they should give up, but Akira and Lycanroc are both determined to carry on. Lycanroc gets to its feet and Akira smiles. Tokio says that they must be determined to be the hero and save the world, but Akira says that all he is focussed on right now it helping Lycanroc to win the battle, and so defeat Tokio.

With a steely look, Akira says he is determined to defeat Tokio, to which Tokio recoils. Akira says he will show his opponent the power of the bond between Trainer and Pokémon, and begins the Z-Move dance. He continues, saying that he joined the adventure because of Rockruff's passion, and that Alola has taught him that humans and Pokémon are meant to help each other, and they will show Tokio the power which they have developed on their journey together.

Akira shouts for Lycanroc's full power, and the glowing Lycanroc zooms forward towards Silvally. The defiant Tokio insists he does not believe in Akira and Lycanroc's powerful bond, telling Silvally to endure Lycanroc's Z-Move. The Breakneck Blitz strikes Silvally, fainting it.

Akira and Mana celebrate, but after brief concern for Silvally, Tokio commands the waiting Legendary Pokémon Lunala to attack Lycanroc.

Akira tells Mana to take care of the fallen Silvally, and together with Lycanroc, gets ready to battle Lunala. At that moment, the captured Solgaleo breaks its bonds and joins Lunala in the sky. The two Legendary Pokémon then disappear inside the Ultra Wormholes, which close quickly behind them, to the despair of Tokio. Mana says that even the talent of Tokio could not control the Legendary Pokémon.

After Mana's help, Silvally gets to its feet and consoles Tokio. Akira say the two are so alike, and that's the reason why Silvally is fond of its Trainer. Tokio shouts at Silvally, telling it to go away. Undeterred, Silvally stares at its Trainer. Tokio eventually yields to his Pokémon's presence and begins to cry, embracing Silvally.

Akira smiles, and remembering the words of Professor Kukui, that adventure broadens your horizons, realises that he has seen beyond his own horizon and wants to continue doing so. He asks Tokio if he wants to continue the island challenge with him, and Tokio accepts the offer. Akira, Mana, and Rockruff smile broadly, it is time to head for a new horizon with their Pokémon.
