Salary Range:  $170,000.00 - $220,000.00 (On Target Earning) 

The Opportunity

As Vice President of Product at Kargo, you will lead the product vision and strategy of our Commerce division, driving innovation in the advertising and marketing technology space. This role requires a blend of creative thinking and analytical skills to develop products that align with Kargo's pioneering approach in uniting brands, retailers, and publishers.

Your leadership will be central in guiding a team of product managers and designers, fostering an inclusive environment that values creativity and collaboration. You will engage closely with cross-functional teams and clients, ensuring that Kargo’s products not only meet market demands but also set new industry standards in driving performance business outcomes.

Your responsibilities include staying ahead of market trends, spearheading product development, and maintaining Kargo's commitment to diversity and inclusion. As a key executive, your expertise in product management and deep industry knowledge will be instrumental in Kargo's continued growth and global expansion.

The Daily To-Do

  • Strategic Product Vision: Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with Kargo's mission of uniting brands, retailers, and publishers through innovative technology and creative ad formats
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a diverse team of product managers and designers, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment that encourages creativity and excellence
  • Market Analysis and Trends: Stay ahead of market trends in advertising and marketing technology to guide product development and ensure Kargo remains a competitive force in the industry
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure product strategies meet client needs and company objectives
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, supporting the team in defining product roadmaps, setting timelines, and ensuring delivery of high-quality products
  • Innovation and Creativity: Champion innovative and advanced creative ad formats that differentiate Kargo in the marketplace and provide unique value to clients
  • Client Relationships and Feedback: Engage with key clients to gather feedback, understand their challenges, and adapt product offerings to meet evolving market demands
  • Publisher Relationships and Feedback: Work closely with social media publishers to ensure product strategy alignment, collaborate on thought leadership & innovate on top of native ad solutions
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all product initiatives comply with industry standards and best practices, promoting Kargo’s commitment to diversity, equality, and legal obligations

Qualifications 

  • Extensive Experience in Product Management: Proven track record in product leadership roles, preferably in advertising, marketing technology, or a related field
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with a focus on mentorship, talent development, and fostering an inclusive work environment
  • Deep Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the advertising and marketing technology landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities - with a focus on performance advertising & paid social media solutions
  • Innovative Mindset: A creative thinker who can conceptualize and implement new ideas in ad technology and creative formats
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to articulate vision and strategy effectively to various stakeholders, including team members, clients, and executive leadership
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions and tackle complex problems in product development and management.
  • Educational Background: Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field is preferred
