Our D&B Hoovers team helps customers across the globe prospect, research, and analyze the world’s greatest collection of company and contact data to gain insights, make predictions, and visualize information through modern experiences and powerful backend systems. We build the most advanced set of analytics from hundreds of millions of rows of data with thousands of attributes for hundreds of thousands of users across the world. The Role:

The D&B Hoovers QA team is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help us continue to deliver disruptive features with extreme quality. This person will own new feature testing, write UI and API test automation, help maintain existing suites, and solve problems innovatively. Our ideal team member is inherently curious about the unknown, tenacious to see things through, has amazing attention to detail, and is unwavering about standards. This person has a proven track record of delivering features with complete ownership as well as a history of collaborating to share knowledge and to learn from others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become fully versed with new features in your scrum team to design and execute comprehensive test plans
  • Write automated tests for new and existing features, and maintain existing suites
  • Collaborate with others for solutions, to share knowledge, and to improve development practices
  • Become a subject matter expert in a fundamental area of the Hoovers application 
  • Periodically support the team during biweekly product deployments
  • Work with our Technical Support team to help troubleshoot complex customer issues

Key Requirements:

  • At least five years of testing web applications 
  • At least five years of writing test automation in a scripting language like Ruby, Python, or JavaScript 
  • Experience using a testing framework like Testim, Playwright, Cypress or other tool
  • General understanding of relational data and SQL
  • Experience writing behavior-driven automation like Cucumber
  • Experience exercising APIs through Postman, Bruno, cURL, RestClient, or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving

Nice To Have

  • Significant experience with a POM/object oriented architecture using Ruby/Watir
  • Experience creating tests and custom code in Testim
  • Experience with TestRail 
  • Familiarity with CRMs like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
