The Role

Job Description
Achieve's financing operations involve corporate finance and credit facilities, sales to investors, onboarding new investors to Achieve's managed fund and financing vehicles for the fund. The successful Paralegal candidate will support each of these functions and also assist in corporate governance, such as helping to gather and distribute meeting materials and corporate record-keeping, and M&A transactions.
Job duties will include:

  • Assist managing finance transactions such as credit facilities and securitizations including working closely with internal and external counsel and tracking document negotiation and execution.
  • Manage the contract process, including intake, assisting in obtaining required internal approvals and managing contract execution and retention for finance agreements.
  • Manage closing checklists for major finance transactions, working closely with internal and external counsel.
  • Maintain document repository of closing documents for all transactions.
  • Prepare corporate certificates and secretarial certificates.
  • Maintain corporate entity database with such information as jurisdictional information, ownership, management, and signature blocks.
  • Draft, file and manage various business entity documents for corporations, LLCs and partnerships with State agencies, including annual renewals.
  • Assisting in due diligence reviews for corporate transactions.
  • Assisting the legal team in a wide range of other tasks including commercial contracts, consumer agreements and disclosures and creation and maintenance of legal department processes and procedures.


Qualifications
Requirements:

  • BA or Legal Assistant/Paralegal degree with at least 2 years of experience in transactional, corporate governance or equivalent experience.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and track deadlines for multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a larger team
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, including to senior management, investors and partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and the ability to explore and quickly learn other software applications.
  • Large law firm or corporate in-house experience, a plus

Salary Range: $31.00 to $36.00 per hour. This information represents the expected salary range for this role. Should we decide to make an offer for employment, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
