This is an opportunity to join SAP's Strategic Cloud Management team. The role is intended to provide enterprise exposure to key topics within our cloud strategy, FinOps and the ability to work directly with our cloud products / solution areas as Cloud Demand Manager.

As a Cloud Demand Manager, you will

  • Act as strategic partner ot our cloud solution areas and build up a detailed understanding of their infrastructure strategies plus planning processes
  • Support the development of infrastructure planning solutions and processes for new cloud platforms and new technologies such AI consumption demand
  • Ensure forecast accuracy by analysing various data sources and provide continuous improvements
  • Drive strategic initiatives in the area of Cloud infrastructure planing, AI, and FinOps
  • Collaborate closely with all major stakeholders from SAP Solution Areas, Global Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery well as our Hyperscaler Partners AWS, Microsoft Azure and GCP

What you bring

We're looking for a highly-motivated individual with strong analytical, cloud and soft skills to drive critical topics around Cloud infrastructure planning, AI, and FinOps. A successful candidate is highly organized, with a strong focus on details, but at the same time able to think out of the box to find creative solutions for complex challenges.

  • Experience with and willingness to dive deeper on cloud infrastructure, AI and other technology topics (e.g. SAP PlusOne, AWS, GCP, MS Azure)
  • Previous consulting experience, stakeholder management experience, and the ability to build strong relationships internally and with external partners
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to solve complex problems with an analytical approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Very strong motivation
  • Cloud and/or ITIL certifications are a plus

The mission of the GCS Strategic Cloud Management (SCM) team is to strategically steer infrastructure demand and capacity, for optimal scalability and utilization with an AI data-driven approach, ensuring sustainable and cost-efficient cloud solutions.

We manage SAP's cloud infrastructure planning process E2E from cloud solution area engagement to platform capacity management including solution engineering leveraging latest AI technologies, as well as driving highly strategic cloud initiatives up to the executive board.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $50,500 - $118,200 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
