Bhutan is a fantastic country for hiking, thanks to its pristine and well-preserved nature and very comfortable climate. There are numerous hikes throughout the country, which differ in difficulty and in time. You can also undertake hikes within the Neyphu Valley, home to our Sanctuary. We can arrange for a licensed English-speaking guide and if you like, we will prepare a homemade picnic, so you can relax and enjoy the environment even more. #bhutan #BhutanSpiritSanctuary #wemeetyourneeds #hiking

On 21 July 1983, the world's lowest recorded temperature, -128.6 °F (- 89.2 °C), was measured at Vostok Station in Antarctica. At the Sanctuary, we prefer our ice cream to be the coldest we experience. #bhutan #BhutanSpiritSanctuary #wemeetyourneeds #Nationalicecreamday

Bhutan is currently the only country in the world to implement a Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) for all guests. The funds collected by this fee go towards various initiatives in the country, including preserving the country’s pristine environment, maintaining its cultural heritage, providing free healthcare and education, and supporting sustainable development projects that benefit local communities. When applying for your visa to Bhutan, you pay the Sustainable Development Fee. #bhutan #BhutanSpiritSanctuary #wemeetyourneeds #sustainabletravel

The Haa summer festival in the Haa Valley in Bhutan will take place on 14 and 15 July 2024. Next year it is planned for the second weekend of July. The Haa Valley is a beautiful green valley with many small settlements near the Haa River, where most people are farmers. During the festival, the people showcase lively mask dances, traditional folk songs, artifacts, and traditional sports. #bhutan #BhutanSpiritSanctuary #wemeetyourneeds #haafestival
