Interakcije
[uredi | uredi izvor]Pokazalo se da proteini cinkovog prsta ulaze u interakciju s nukleinskim kiselinama i imaju različite funkcije. Domen cinkovog prsta je konzervirani motiv aminokiselinske sekvence koji sadrži po dva posebno postavljena cisteina i histidina, koji su uključeni u koordinaciju cinka. Proteini povezani sa Kruppelom čine jednu porodicu proteina cinkovih prstiju.[4]
